Over 100,000 Bell-MTS mobile customers in Manitoba will receive letters in the next two months informing them if they have been selected to transfer to rival Canadian operator Telus, as a knock-on condition of Bell's recent takeover of MTS in the province. Canadian website MobileSyrup reports that the process is beginning its first phase this week, whilst Telus says customers will be offered plans, rates and features that are equal to or higher in value than those of their existing MTS plans. Telus also says that because of a broader network sharing agreement between Telus and Bell, its new Manitoba customers will have access to significantly enhanced coverage in a greater number of locations across Manitoba.
